RT100 U RT100 U (general)
The RT100 U type drill is a double-groove, high-carburized electric drill designed to reduce the number of cycles and improve the quality of parts. The geometry of the dot and flute was designed to create a simple, manageable chip that could easily be evacuated from the hole. The RT100 U type drill has a self-centering design, which eliminates the need for point-drilling operation. Wide open flute design and short wafer forming ability eliminates the need for drill. The RT100 U drill can run 3 to 5 times the penetration rate at an inch per minute, reducing cycle time and reducing manufacturing costs.
RT100 hf RT100 hf (nickel alloy)
RT 100 hf is a self-centered, highly permeable bit, especially suitable for nickel alloys. The new “high frequency” geometry improves the service life of the cutter, while the new TiAlSiN (titanium silicon nitride silicon nitride) coating surface is wear-resistant. The Inconel drilling test showed a 35 per cent increase in tool life, largely due to the new multilayer coating we call “nano-silicon”.
RT100 U.S. RT100 (high temperature)
Guhring has re-introduced a classic wave cutting edge design, using the RT100 high permeability carbide drill series. The two flute designs combine a radius cutting edge and a rolling healing profile, creating manageable chips in hard material. These drills are made of heat-resistant nano-coating and are given extra heat resistance in high temperature applications, which is a compliment to the traditional high performance geometry.
100va RT100 VA (stainless steel)
The RT100 VA type drill is a double – groove, high-carburizing electric drill designed to reduce the number of cycles and improve the quality of parts. In many respects similar to the RT100 U bit, but specially designed for the use of stainless steel, titanium and nickel alloys. The RT100 VA has also been coated with nano-scale nanoscale coating, which is a very suitable coating for stainless steel and nickel alloys.
RT100 X RT100 X (high accuracy)
The RT100 X – style bit is one of the latest designs from Guhring. The RT100 X bit is designed for various materials, from light steel, copper to hardened alloy steel and high temperature alloys. The RT100 X runs similarly to RT100 U, but its point geometry is to achieve the most stringent tolerances, while the coating is nano flame X, the latest popular version of the popular FIREX coating. We recommend using the RT100X drill or using only the application with the highest precision tools.
